This policy explains how the PreReel Camera apps for iPhone and Apple Watch handle information and how their features are used.

1. How we handle information

This app has no user accounts, advertising, or third-party analytics SDKs. It does not automatically collect or upload your recordings, device status, usage records, or diagnostic logs to the developer.

2. Camera, microphone, and speech recognition

The camera and microphone are used for the viewfinder, pre-recording, and recording. Video, audio, the rolling buffer, and recording files are processed on your device. This app does not upload video or audio to the developer’s servers.

Voice control uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition and requires recognition to run on your device. If on-device recognition is unavailable, it does not fall back to cloud recognition. iOS manages the related permissions.

3. Photos and local storage

Completed recordings are saved to Photos with your permission to add items. Video playback uses the system picker and accesses only the videos you select. Photos, iCloud syncing, and system backups are managed by Apple services and device settings.

Camera settings, custom voice commands, and brightness restoration information are stored on your device. Orientation and battery status are used for display and camera adjustments and are not sent to the developer. The rolling buffer is cleared when capture stops or is rebuilt. Temporary files are kept or deleted as required for capture, saving, and playback. Local recording copies are deleted after they are successfully saved to Photos.

4. Apple Watch and fishing activities

The iPhone and paired Apple Watch use Apple’s WatchConnectivity to exchange recording commands, camera readiness and recording status, and information needed for timers and alerts. They do not transfer preview video, audio recordings, or health activity records, or upload this information to the developer. Connection and alert diagnostics stay on the devices and are not sent automatically.

When you choose to start fishing mode on Apple Watch, the app requests permission to write workouts to Apple Health and starts a real fishing workout session to record the activity and support recording alerts while the screen is asleep. The app does not request permission to read health history or heart rate records, or to access location. During the activity, Apple Watch and HealthKit may generate workout-related samples and affect Activity rings. Apple’s health system manages this data; the app does not use it for advertising or tracking, or upload it to the developer.

The activity’s start and end times and any unsaved draft are stored locally on Apple Watch to support recovery and saving. After ending an activity, you can save it to Apple Health or discard it; either action clears the in-app draft. Discarding a draft does not guarantee removal of health samples or Activity ring contributions already generated by the system. Apple services and your device settings manage system syncing and backups of health data.

5. Feedback and diagnostics

Feedback is available only through the developer’s email address. The app has no online feedback submission service, does not automatically send email, and does not automatically collect or upload feedback or attachments. If you choose to send feedback through an external email service, that service handles the email. The developer uses received content only to handle and respond to your feedback.

The app uses system logs to record capture, saving, and control status and errors. Logs are not automatically sent to the developer.
